Courtesy of Marko, after perilous smuggling!
Amber color, hazy. Some apple aroma, with evident oxidisation, and some metallic aroma too. Moderately sweet, some oxidized apple skins, some honey, and again some metallic note in the final, a bit astringent.

Bottle - Sharp apple and strong honey notes. Clear gold. Strong peel and honey with a long and almost spiced finish. Cooked apples add some weird complexity.

Bottle sample (thanks to Marko, then to luttonm, then to fiulijn), pours a hazy copper golden. Aroma brings out pure wildflower honey, low-medium sweetness, and honey nectar/wax. Flavour is quite muffled and earthy, with low-medium sweetness, obscured wildflower notes and nectar. A bit too obscured, not overly complex, but pleasant and drinkable. Solid.

24/05 My first cyser in a 0.375 l bottle, great thanks Marko for sharing! Slightly unclear yellow green bodied with medium legs. Fine honey and lemony aroma. Flavor was sweet, pleasant flowery honey, lightly herbal, especially towards the finish. Medium bodied. Rather simple, but fine, pleasantly sweet mead that I would not guess it contains any apple on a blind tasting.

Ahh... so, there I am, en route with my choir to a competition in Italy (we got golden diplomas in all categories, thank you very much :P), half awake stumbling out of the bus when we stopped at a gast station in the middle of Slovenia, near Novo Mesto... quite understandable given that I didn’t sleep at all through the night and that we left around 5AM. I stumble in the store, mainly looking for water. Cold water. I glance at the fridge, looking for Laško Pšenično, nothing, I randomly glance at the wine/liquour shelf... almost turn away... but a bottle stuck in my mind. It was different, though I couldn’t read the label from the distance. I turn back, read the label and... apple honey wine. A cyser. A cyser. A limited edition cyser. At a random gas station. In the middle of Slovenia. And... and... I found it. Wow.... Vintage 2007, only 4000 bottles made and I found it in 2013. At a gas station. Just wow. It survived the trip and I finally got to taste it now, nearly a month later, with heavy and Andrea. Yellow-golden body showing some traces of carbonation. Light aroma... "typical" honey and very, very light notes of apple. Sweet taste that revealed almost no apple presence, honey all the way, with very ligh candy notes, bubblegum... heck like the cheap bubblegum we had as kids, shaped like Popeye’s spinach, or as cigarettes... But it works in this context. Ends in light bitteness just to liven things up. Not a bad mead at all, though I expected some more complexity from something that claims to be a cyser. Am I overrating it?
