Bottle shared with Laura at San Marino Restaurant, Harlingen. Very dark red-brown color with a dark red hue coming through when held into the light. Aroma is malts, a bit boozy, prunes. Flavor is malts, again lightly boozy but nothing disturbing, prunes, caramel, light chocolate, brown candy sugar, a distant hint of dades, herbs, spices, it reminds me of "bastogne koeken", so "speculaas". Quite well balanced. A tad on the spice / herbal side for me, but I'm quite pleasantly surprised tbh.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, yellow-ish, dark golden colour with average, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, minimalyl lacing, white head. Minimally bready, wheaty malty and zesty, citrusy fruity, minimally spicy as well as minimally yeasty fruity aroma, hints of orange peel, some coriander, whiffs of wasabi, a widely disguised touch of banana. Taste is slightly yeasty fruity, slightly spicy and minimally citrusy fruity with a mildly bitter, zesty and minimally tart-ish touch, minimally grainy, wheaty malty almost basis without residual sweetness, minimalyl diluted hints of banana, orange peel, lemon, some coriander.
Minimally creamy, watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously minimally dry, even almost minimaly astringent palate, medium to fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation.
Low sweetness, fairly refreshing due to the tart-ish and mildly zesty bitter citrusy fruity aspects, good balance - decent.
