Tap at the Botanická zahrada Praha beer fest. Darker golden body, off white head. Dusty, slightly herbal hoppiness over a slightly more distinct maltiness when it comes to the aroma than the 11°. Creamy taste, herbal, light fruity touches, clean maltiness, Classic, good lager, cool enough, liking both the 11° and the 12°!

Tap at the Botanická zahrada Praha beer fest. Golden body, off white head. Dry herbal hoppy aroma, pleasant. Herbal, dry hoppy taste over some sweetish, clean maltiness, simple, well made, effective. Not a bad lager at all!

Die Herkunft dieses Biers ist etwas abstrus: Gebraut von einer Brauerei Brana für eine historische Brauerei namens Český Krumlov, welche wiederum die Adresse des Brauereirestaurants der alt-ehrwürdigen Eggenberg-Brauerei hat. Ich habe meine 1l-Plastikflasche jedenfalls in einem Touristen-Abzock-Geschäft in der Krumauer Altstadt gefunden und nur dies neben den ebenfalls verfügbaren vorhandenen Glok(ner)-Bieren ausgewählt -einfach aus dem Grund, da es das einzige war dessen MHD nicht abgelaufen war. Getrunken haben wir das Bier dann gleich in einem Schlosspark auf einem Hügel über der Stadt. Es ist ein recht mildes IPA, das sich dadurch sehr leicht und angenehm trinken lässt. Es hätte wohl etwas mehr Hopfen vertragen, um dem amerikanischen Anspruch zu genügen. Aber für Freunde von nicht zu bitteren IPAs ein interessantes Bier.

brown take away plastic bottle 1000ml. -from the brewery store. Golden coloured, small to medium sized white head, green apple and touch of yeast in the nose. Sweetish malty, strong yeasty, green apple and notes of oxidation with short bitterish finish. Fresh filled bottle so it might be bad batch or some problems with the bottling process.

On tap at brewery restaurant Eggenberg. Dark golden coloured, medium sized white head, hoppy nose. Sweet malty, grassy, light grainy and herbal hoppy with mild bitterness in the finish. Simple and pleasant.
