Murky amber colour. No head. So there's a bit of minty hop, some fruitiness. Butter, and that's most of the character.

Cloudy gold with a decent beige head. Pine, resin and malts. Touch of plastic. Bitter and piney with a long bitter finish.

Poured from the tap. Clear-ish gold with small white head. Light cantaloupe, very feint kiwi, fairly mild tartness. Nothing special. Inoffensive.

Poured from 473mL can (pkgd 07 Apr 2021). Clear blonde with small white head. Wheaty yeast. Esters and clove are quite subtle and minimal. There's also a mild alcohol-ness.

Nice beige foam on a dark semi-muddy brown body. Good coffee on the nose, slight molasses, blackberry slightly sweet and in the background. Flavour is an excellent sweet blackberry melded with dark cocoa and coffee notes. Crisp dry finish. Really well done, enjoying the balance.

Okay foam on a deep dark brown body. Hoppy caramel on the nose, slight coffee. Flavour is good bitter biscuit, sharp molasses, mellow coffee notes. Lingering oiliness and crisp dark grain. An easier approach to a black IPA but not as bold as others.
