Description
At Moon Dog we love crafting bloody delicious beers that are fun and a little bit different. We've been doing it since 2010 at our rad brewery in the backstreets of inner Melbourne’s Abbotsford. Over the years we’ve grown a heap, adding our tropical brewery bar paradise, the ballroom oasis function space, and a freakin' big fancy production brewery to keep more delicious beers flowing. We’re a proudly independent, Australian owned craft brewery, still run by the same guys that started it all those years ago.

Bottle. Cloudy pale orange with a modest white head. Sourish wheat, banana, lemon, mint - no obvious watermelon (not that I’m much of a fan of it). But there’s a burst of it in the taste, as well as light bready and slight lactic notes. No real zip to the finish and only little trace of the lime and less of the mint. Not sure this one is quite as planned. Pretty guzzleable in the heat, though.

Bottle. Hazy amber with a small white head that lasts. Some floaties. Aroma of white grapes, apricots, lychees, menthol, cassia bark. Pleasant low carbonation. Taste seems far more vibrant than first suggested by the aroma. There’s hay and a little light caramel and lots of fruit and spice - grape and apricot, some tropical fruit, pine, pepper, cinnamon. Not all that sweet, so although the bitterness is not very strong, there’s a snap to the finish. Alcohol is dangerously well-hidden. Startlingly original.

Bottle 330ml @Beer Hunters
Hazy deep orange-amber color, small off-white head. Berryish and diacetylic aroma. Medium to full-bodied. Alcoholic, citrusy hoppyness, toffee. Lingering light bitterness with alcohol. Quite weird and combination of IPA and cognac don’t work very well.

Bottled@Beer Hunters, Pori. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is cognac, old wood, some spicy alcohol as well as some nice fruity notes. Flavour is fruity, malty, nicely nutty with an alcoholic kick to it. A bit too sweet, but otherwise nice.

330ml bottle @ Malja, Kuopio
Pours black with a white head. Aroma of roasted malts, hints of tobacco, ash, sour cherries and leathery bretta notes. Taste is smootish, roasty and slightly yeasty with notes of bretta, smoke and leather with hints of cherries. Finish is roasty, smoked and leathery with a touch of bretta and sour cherries. Quite unique but a bit unbalanced.

23/XII/13 - 330ml bottle @ home - BB: n/a (2013-1171) Thanks to Bo for bringing the bottle to Belgium!
Little cloudy brown beer, huge aery fizzy beige head, bit adhesive. Aroma: coffee, mocha, bit dirty, bread, sugary, burnt caramel, sourish, something rotten and unpleasant. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: mocha, coffee, bit sour, burnt toast, overripe banana. Aftertaste: bitter hops, sourish, lots of coffee, mocha, bit of caramel, overripe fruits, dry hoppy bitterness, some citrus, burnt malts. Nope, although it's not bad, I'm not a fan of this thing.

Hazy orange color, small white head. A bit grainy, fruity, some citrus in the nose. Medium-bodied. Grainy, some orange jelly, citrus. Good attempt to fool ale drinkers.

Opaque black color, steady brownish head. "Smokey", kirsebaer aroma. Very light body for 7.6% beer! Some tobacco notes, toasted flavors, some cellar ... more or less toasted finish. Where is cherry? Where is bretta? Dissapointing.

Deep black color, small brownish head. Nose has dark malts, rhum, smoke and some cellary "barrel" aromas. Medium-bodied, even a bit thin for this ABV. Kind of alcoholic, smoke and tar, some rhum notes. Basicly flavors are ok, but could have more depth.
