bottle from the brewery. Black with a mid-sized, creamy brown head. Chocolatey nose. Medium-bodied, lots of roasted malts, dark chocolate, shy hints of espresso. Not as dry as many stouts are, but with a very pleasant malty sweetness lying underneath. A delicious chocolatey stout.

Lahev (0.75ll, dííík! ): Chestnut-amber coloured with a reddish sheen, hazy, dryish bitter-sweet malty-fruity nose, small, but stable, off-white foamy layer, herbal hops detectable; dry bitter flavour, poor sweet traces, light to medium bodied, tart MF; distinctive bitter finish, hardly disturbed by a delicate malty sweetness. Hardly a well balanced pivo. To není ono...

Lahev(750 ml, pozdravy do Bádensko!): Golden, hazy, small white creamy layer, moderate spicy "Saazy" nose, pale malt well detectable underneath; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied, soft with a well detectable malty base; slightly lingering gentle spicy-bitter ("Saaz", what else...?) and pale-malty finish. Well balanced, archetypal Bohemian Pilsener...
