Description

Appearance: Golden color with a fine white head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Sweet malty and light hoppy.
Palate: Medium + body. Sweet and a mild bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Deep caramel malty, mild fruity and light hoppy.
Overall impression: Not the worst of its kind. Nice when it is really cold.
Personal stats: Can Ania brought with her from Poland.

500ml Bottle from a new Polish shop in my area (we now have three that I know of). Poured into a 0.2 litre Veltins Pilsner badged stemmed tulip three times on 14 Jul 2013, some two weeks before it’s best before date. Good golden hue to the clear and bright body, clean looking with a full white crown on each pour. The nose was weak: some perfume type floral smell with hints of bready malts, but not a lot of anything really. The taste was semi-sweet and fairly refreshing even though there is very little bitterness in the brew: I almost enjoyed it!

Bottled 500ml. -had this one few years ago straight from the bottle near Hops & Barley, Berlin. Light alcoholic nose. Sweet malty, light bready and caramel with not so noticable alcohol. Short sweet finish. Could be worse.

50cl can from the Wine Company, Slough. A pretty good Radler, cloudy lemon made with proper lemons (it seems) and a light shandy taste; rather sweet to finish, and very old fashioned, but refreshing.

Some bar: Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet malt. Taste is much the same. Pretty inoffensive. Light hoppy taste. Nothing special either in a good or bad way.

Bottle shared with Joes and Dutchdrebus. Clear orange-golden color, small white to off-white head. Smell and taste malts, sweet coffee, sugar, caramel, toffee. Pretty weird. Average body and carbonation.

Bottle @ joes thx to benzai. Clear amber gold colour with a medium head that doesn’t last. Smells mostly malty and hay. Tastes roasty? Wtf. Even some coffee. Also caramel and malts. Medium body, soft carbo. Surprisingly nice.
