Description
Our brewery started life up in Morpeth, Northumberland, back in 2012. One name change later, we settled on being called Anarchy Brew Co. and started brewing our core beers, packed with flavour that we still make today (Blonde Star and Citra Star). After running out of room at the old site, we decided we needed somewhere bigger. And in October we moved to new digs in Newcastle upon Tyne, where you’ll find us today. The new Anarchy brewery opened its doors in October 2018 in Walkergate, with the added bonus of our new taproom.

Can 440ml (Alko web)
Murky orange colour, medium-sized white head and lace. Grass, mango, stone fruit, hops in the nose. Medium-bodied. Extreme bitterness - like in the old days - otherwise juicy with stone fruit, mango and citrus. Bitterness mixes flavours giving almost like licorice and wood sensation. Not balanced but certainly interesting take on NEIPA style.

440ml can from Alko. The beer poured unclear and dark yellow. Grapefruity, citrusy, with a ton of bitterness that lasts. NIce bitterness, but overall quite one dimensional.

440ml can. A bit harsh, massively bitter and slightly soapy hoppy with some harsh grassy and herbal notes, loads of bitterness and grapefruit. Finally someone tries to do a proper The Alchemist style bitter NEIPA in Europe, but unfortunately the base beer is a bit unbalanced.
