Description
Our brewery started life up in Morpeth, Northumberland, back in 2012. One name change later, we settled on being called Anarchy Brew Co. and started brewing our core beers, packed with flavour that we still make today (Blonde Star and Citra Star). After running out of room at the old site, we decided we needed somewhere bigger. And in October we moved to new digs in Newcastle upon Tyne, where you’ll find us today. The new Anarchy brewery opened its doors in October 2018 in Walkergate, with the added bonus of our new taproom.

A totally murky, slightly orange beer, a head is quite small and blond. Aroma has complex citrus, aromatic herbs, some fructose, also hint of pineapple. Taste has mandarin, red grapefruit, some herbs, also fructose maltyness, but the bitterness is nicely drying the taste. Medium+ bodied. Fruitness, bitterness, I think Sabro is there, maybe slighly too heavy. Very good beer.

A light yellow and murky beer, a head is medium and white. Aroma has fruitness, grapefruit, but also harsh bitterness, grass. Taste has very strong bitterness, but it's dominating and almost none aromatic notes anymore, grass. Medium bodied. The very strong bitterness is positive, but unfortunately, all aromatic notes have gone. Edit 11.2.2021. Now when I have enjoyed a few can of this beer I have to give better scores. That so strong bitterness is just great.

Can picked up from Hoptimism website, Loughborough, Leicestershire UK. Had this at home Wednesday 30th December 2020 listening to Marc Riley on 6 Music, cooking Pigs in Blankets Carbonara. Pours murky gold/orange with a white head, really fruity with loads of citrus and pine throughout. Super juicy, super hoppy, really more'ish', this is a great beer, this despite the fact that I am completely fed up with this style.

Can picked up at Hoptimism website, Loughborough, Leicestershire, UK and consumed at home Monday 28th December 2020 listening to Craig Charles standing in for Steve Lamaq on 6 Music, about to cook the Stuffed aubergine rolls with melting mozzarella, now that I have picked up a vital missing ingredient. Pours gold with a light haze, a mid sized white head sits atop. S light perfume note, lovely bitter bite, fruity, some pine resiny touches, really good.
