About
Our brewery started life up in Morpeth, Northumberland, back in 2012. One name change later, we settled on being called Anarchy Brew Co. and started brewing our core beers, packed with flavour that we still make today (Blonde Star and Citra Star). After running out of room at the old site, we decided we needed somewhere bigger. And in October we moved to new digs in Newcastle upon Tyne, where you’ll find us today. The new Anarchy brewery opened its doors in October 2018 in Walkergate, with the added bonus of our new taproom.

11/7/2020. Can at the NCFC relegation party, bought at CentrAle, Newcastle. Poured hazy dark amber/bronze with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet, maple, toffee, syrup, malt. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Medium to full body, creamy texture, average to soft carbonation. Sweet finish. Enjoyed this.

A murky, light yellow beer, a head is quite big and blond. Aroma has freshness and juicyness, mango, pineapple, red grapefruit. Taste, has mango, grapefruit, pineapple. Medium bodied. Very tasteful.

Can. A nut-brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and bread, leading to a bitter finish.

Sample from 440 ml can. Dark amber colour with a thin white head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, coffee, fruits and bitter chocolate. Taste is sweet. Medium bodied. Sweet finish.

Hazy orange colour, small white head. Aroma has grass, some odd burned rubber and some fruits. Feels old from nose. Light-bodied. Flavour is better: citrus, apricot, papaya and pepper, even some hop oils. Close to past its prime but tolerable.

44 cl can @ home, BBE 09/2020. Rated on 25.06.2020. Aroma has grapefruity hops and tropical fruits. Flavour has grapefruit, grass, tropical fruits and minerals. Finishes with grass and nettles. Decent APA, perhaps a tad too dry though.

Tap at Mikkeller Helsinki, Helsinki. Color is clear golden with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, hops and malts. Basic stuff but clear.
