Bottle, 2015 vintage. Deep dark brown pour with a modest tan head and wispy bits of lacing. Aroma of roast, dark chocolate, and bits of the barrel treatment. The barrel has softened the hops and bittersweet cocoa that I found in the base beer; flavor is more roast, oak, vanilla, bourbon.

On tap hazy light golden thin dense white head and lasting lacing. Not much cuke in the aroma. Standard light grain and ceral notes. Flavor though has plenty of cucumber in it. LIght and refreshing, nie cuke flavors. Balanced and good.

On Tap at the Meridian brewery. Rich dark brown with a full dense light tan head. Soft roasted flavors and the cherries and peppermint come though just enough.

On tap at the Meridian brewery. Black with a fine tan skin and a thin sheet of lacing. Modest roast aroma. Flavors are again, modest and roasty. Some licorice and dark chocolate. Significant bourbon flavors and a fairly dry and thin palate. Not a huge Imperial Stout but decent. Balanced and easy. Would not have guessed the 10+ ABV

On Tap at the Meridian Brewery. Slightly hazy light amber/orange. Creamy sandy head. Light and dry for an amber. Clean and crisp. A little season al spice. Expected a little more of a winter ale character given the seasonal name.
