Description
Shilling Brewing Co. is the first to bring the brewpub experience to the heart of Glasgow. A place where an appreciation of the art and science of brewing is at the core of what we do and for all to see, taste and enjoy.

Glasgow has been pioneering the perfect pint for over 400 years and the Shilling Brewing Co. is contributing to the next chapter in this story by creating a space where everyone can discover and appreciate beer, straight from the source.

This includes our core range of beers designed to be enjoyed fresh, just meters from where they are brewed, alongside a host of beers sourced from pioneering craft breweries.

Keg at Shilling. It pours clear bright yellow - gold with a medium white head. The aroma is fresh, bright.piney action, floral, grassy, citrus, bit of sherbet, lemonade and doughy bread. The taste is crisp, dry, clean, fresh piney action upfront, pithy, zesty citrus vibes, touch of grapefruit, grass, straw and light pepper with a dry finish. Lighter end of medium body and moderate, effervescent carbonation. Clean and quenching. Nice stuff!

Black beer, thin head. Smell is malty with... I think butterscotch, maybe? I feel like that's it because I'm getting something like that in the flavour as well along with malt and rich chocolate and a dash of spice/ heat. The beat builds up but not to the point of being overbearing and works nicely with the slight booziness. Very nice.

On keg at the Bow Bar. Appearance - damson and clouded. Thin but attractive white head. Nose - raspberries and redcurrants primarily. Mayve some citrus. Taste - big redcurrant note. Maybewild raspberries and dry cherry too. Palate - creamy and close to medium bodied. Dry and tart middle and finish. Overall - what's the point in making a NE IPA then covering up all the hops with berries. It's nice though.
