Draft at Colorado Plus. Nose is ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel, and a hint of bubblegum. Clear rusty red with a small beige head. Flavor is lightly sweet, pumpkin pie spicy without the pumpkin, and caramel. Nice!

On tap at Hops & Pie, pours a hazy copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out light piney hops and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is quite bitter, with dry piney hops, some citrus and dry biscuity malt. Bitter and dry on the finish, with a moderately aggressive astringency. Aggressive, but well-designed. Very good.

Tulip at the brewery - black pour with a thick off-white lace - nose of vanilla, chocolate, bourbon-drenched, charred oak - body is smooth but thin, allowing the whiskey to overpower pretty much all other aspects of the beer - some chocolate, some smoke, but mostly bourbon - I love bourbon, so whatever, but as a beer this has a lot of weaknesses.

Tulip at the brewery - lightly hazy gold - thick lace - well-executed version - light and delicate - moderately sweet, moderate, floral finishing bitterness - clean, deceptively drinkable for the strength - light wildflower honey, a bit of spiciness - quite good.

Shaker pint draft at Finn’s Manor in Denver, Colorado. The pour is clear orange golden, with a small white head that leaves behind pretty lace. The aroma is dank citrus fruit, grass, floral and cereal malt. The taste is a nice bold blend of the dank citrus hop and the cereal malt. Clean and fresh. The palate is medium bodied with active carbonation and a dry finish with lingering dank aftertaste. Alcohol is present as the beer warms. Well done.
