Bottle shared at Craft (thanks bierkoning). It pours hazy orange-amber with a decent white head. The nose is funky, floral, must, wet wood, damp leaves, sweaty sock, floral, wet dog, and mouldy cheese. The taste is crisp, tart, plum, sherbet, wood, good mouth-pucker, grape skin, damp leaves, damp leaves, tart green apple and chamomile with a dry, tart finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Smells pretty filthy, but tastes pretty tasty.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Paul. Pours unclear russet-gold with a creamy white head. The aroma has lots of damp grass, citric lemon, poop. Light sweet flavor with assertive grassiness, wood, oily orange rind, sand, salt, decent acidity. Medium bodied with fine, spritzy carbonation. Clean and dry on the finish with sturdy acidic bite, some green apple skin, grass, wet wood. Not bad overall.

Bottle thnx to bierkoning ! Gusher Pours unclear amberbrown , huge white head . Smell is malty, sweet , wood ( indeed typical faro, yet more malty ) , spices, apples . Taste is bit bitter , some sourness, aromatic sweetness . Apples, tad dry . Overcarbonated . nice, I like the taste in this one . Perhaps with less carbonation this would make quite a good beer ! On the other hand, I received this bottle in September on BBF , and than lost it in my ollection. You should drink a faro as fresh as possible anyway since otherwise the carbonation builds up to high .. So this might deserve a re-rate

Bottle 375ml. @ 6th Borefts Beer Festival 2014. [ As Toon van den Broek Geuze II ].[ Courtesy of bierkoning ]. Clear medium orange yellow color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light malty, pale malt, moderate horse blanket, barnyard, leather, fruity - white wine, light apple. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light acidic with a long duration, barnyard, leather, grape, citrus. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20140927]

Borefts VI. Day 2. Bottle thanks to Edo. Lightly hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, fine carbonation. Airy malts, light floralness, pretty mild gueueze sourness. Airy dry finish. It’s pretty mellow and doesn’t deliver the sweet and sour punch I would like from a Faro, but it’s fine.

Acquired in a trade with 77Ships and we opened this in Belgium so others can rate it as well. This is a new Gueuze from a place in Netherlands. It is rateable but there was no official label yet.
A - HUGE gusher. we could have lost half the bottle if we weren’t careful. . very bubbly huge bubbles head. cloudy beer with a bright orange appearance Looks like every other young Gueuze blend.
S - The nose is nice. Lots of lemon, some banana, grape skins and white wine notes. It smells really good.
T - The taste is okay. It’s quite sweet, has a copper penny metallic note. Oily without much of a body but maybe it just needs more time in the bottle to balance out? Sweet lemon,lime finish with tart acidity like from a kiwi w/ skin.
M - Thin mouth feel and not bursting with carbonation.
O - It’s a nice Gueuze but I’d wait a few years if you have a bottle. Might need more time. Open one now, cellar the other for 2 years.

Thanks to AdamJackson! 750 ml. bottle sampled @ Sanne’s birthday tasting. Extremely big gusher, total fountain. Bottled on 04/2014. Hazy orange. Huge zesty funk, reminiscent of actual lambiek, big zest, fizzy lemon, light acidic, tad sugar; Taste carries more residual sweetness than I’m used from geuze, sugar, white bread with nice funk, lemon, lambiek funk in the back, light acidity. Body is fuller than usual, tad soft white bread-like. Very solid & great work.

Little hazy orange to beige beer, big aery off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: real brett and geuze smell, lemony, sourish, pretty complex! MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter touch, very sour, lemony, acidic, some wood tannins. Aftertaste: sourish, lemony, funky, brett, bitter touch, bit woody. Very well done, this Belgian is impressed! Well, except for the gushing part of course. :p

Bottle courtesy of kraddel, thanks! Hazy to cloudy variegated golden amber color, fizzy white head that settles to an edge. Aroma of dusty and funky barns and lemons. Taste is dusty, peppery citrus. Nice. 9-3-8-3-14-3.7. Next try, 11-25-17. Hazy very pale yellow, big fluffy white head with good retention. Considerably more must, dust and funk in the aroma. Taste is sour, dusty, funky, peppery. Light body. Delicious.
