Can, from Whole Foods, Manhattan. Pours extremely hazy dark yellow, looks like peach juice, very small frothy off-white head that flops down fast, unripe mango-citrus peel aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter peach-citrus-unripe mango taste, somewhat thick body, long finish. Flavorful.

Deep super hazy golden and apricot coloured body with a rich off-white head, about two centimetres tall. Aroma of lactose, light grapefruit, some mango, but a lot of oranges and strong bitterness from the fresh hops - with some supportive malts as well - nice. Medium-bodied; Strong orangey and lactose notes dominate with a lot of vanilla and cream noticeable, but a pretty rich malt backbone that shows the oats and wheatie notes that are pretty clean-drinking, but quite rich throughout with a lot of the alpha acids coming through near the end. Aftertaste shows a lot of mango and orange fruitiness with a good kick of bitterness from the fresh hops still noticeable and a strong pungency from the alcohol that does show just about 8,2 per cent - deep, but not overpowering. Overall, a nice and rich beer with a lot of hop notes that bring out some fruitiness and bitter qualities, but the malt bill and especially the lactose really define this one and make this robust throughout. Nice to sample and a good option for the style. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Bryant Park, 42nd Street), New York on 14-January-2023 for US$5,99 sampled on the streets of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 04-Febraury-2023.

Very hazy light golden coloured body like straw and a ghostly off-white coloured body with a nice eighty per cent opaque glow, all underneath a three centimetre tall soapy and frothy off-white head that at least stays afloat nicely. Aroma of orange juice, grapefruit, resin, hay, grass, flowers and a good deal of sweetness from honey with a lot of malt and alcohol seemingly here as well. Full-bodied; Very rich and almost creamy melony and super malty notes show through everything and leave some lactose on the edges with a bunch of citrus fruits, honey, resin, pine and floral notes all here as well, with a deep bitterness from the hops as well. Aftertaste shows the pungent malt, melons, papaya and chewy sweetness front and centre with the citrus fruits, candy and grassy, dry hops and bitterness at the end - very strong throughout. Overall, a very strong, incredibly thick and pungent real Imperial IPA with a lot of hops and bitterness, but way more malts, fruit, lactose and body - thick and strong! Great to have fresh from New York and a good (not great) real Imperial IPA. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Bryant Park, 42nd Street), New York on 21-August-2021 for US$5,99, canned on 09-June-2021 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 07-September-2021.

Panda at home, thanks to Tipple, 14/05/22. Murky orange amber with a big ole light egg shell white crown formed of tightly knit bubbles. Nose is melon, grass, stoned fruits, orange pith, grapefruit. Taste comprises bitter orange, stoned fruits, pine nip, grass, soft malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with lightly aggressive juice laden hop bitterness. Tidy.
