(Cask at Marble Arch, Manchester, 24 July 2009) Dark copper colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity nose with notes of citrus (orange peel, grapefruit). Fruity, slightly malty taste with citrus, grapefruit, grass and a hint of toast with bittersweet orange marmalade. Medium body, generous citrussy bitterness. Solid and very nice beer.

(Cask at Marble Arch, Manchester, 22 July 2009) Black colour with creamy, pale brown head. Roasted, malty nose with lots of chocolate, black coffee and a touch of liquorice. Roasted, malty taste with dark chocolate, black coffee and a hint of liquorice. Generous coffee/cocoa bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, fairly sweet. Very nice porter with an excellent chocolate twist.

(Cask at Marble Arch, Manchester, 22 July 2009) Pale amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity nose with grapefruit, citrus and pine needles. Fruity, malty taste with notes of citrus, grapefruit, pine needles and some malty sweetness lingering throughout. Great hop character, possibly with more emphasis on aroma than on bitterness, and with malt to back it up. Slightly above medium body, sweetish. Very nice beer in excellent balance.

Bottle conditioned @ the Marble Arch Manchester. Again another ginger beer I "had" to drink for the sake of ratings. This one was a bit stronger.

RBESG Sheffield 2009, day 3, Marble Arch, Manchester. Bottle. Piney hops, sweet malty. Hints of caramel and spices. Better than most.

[RBESG, Sheffield]. Cask @ Marble Arch, Manchester. After the ginger crap this was much better. Nice deep brown color. with a lasting off-white head. Roasted aromas with some bitter chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Roasted malty flavor with lots of dark chocolate.

[RBESG, Sheffield] Cask @ Marble Arch, Manchester. A blond ale with ginger that dominates flavor and aroma. Why I keep drinking these when I’m not that fond of ginger in my beer , is still a mystery :D. The things you do for ratings :D

[RBESG, Sheffield].Cask @ Marble Arch, Manchester. Probably the biggest win of the blond/bitter/IPAs of the RBESG crawls. Very solid and strong citric and piney hops. Moderate bitter taste with lots of hops and some caramel. Very nice.

[RBESG 2009].Cask (handpump) @ Marble Arch Inn. Light amber color. Flowery hops with some fruit notes. Quite light and esy drinking.

RBESG Sheffield 2009, Marble Arch, Manchester. Black with a nice creamy head. Very roasted malt, nuts and coffee aromas. Tastye is again very roasted. nice bitter finish. Great change after many blond ales :D
