RBESG Sheffield 2009, day 3, Marble Arch, Manchester. Bottle. Light hazy dark golden colour, white head. Aroma of soapy ginger. Flavour is sweet, soapy ginger, bit stale. Not too good.

RBESG Sheffield 2009, day 3, Marble Arch, Manchester. Bottle, as Organic Tawny no 3 "stronge", ABV 5.7%. Amber colour, off white head. Aroma of passionfruit, pineapple, very fruity. Flavour is sweet, malty, very fruity with pineapple, some grapefruit in the finish. Prickly mouthfeel.

RBESG Sheffield 2009, day 3, Marble Arch, Manchester. Cask. Clear golden orange, white head. Big hoppy grapefruity aroma, loads of hops. Flavour is a bit malty, loads of fruity and citric hops, grapefruit bitter finish. Tasty stuff.

RBESG Sheffield 2009, day 3, Marble Arch, Manchester. Cask. ABV 4%. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of pure fresh ginger. Flavour is ginger with a light bitter finish. If you like ginger, this is good.

RBESG Sheffield 2009, day 3, Marble Arch, Manchester. Cask. Black colour, creamy light beige head. Aroma of cream, soft roasted malts, chocolate. Flavour is chocolate, cream, light roasted malts, bit of earth. Chocolate bitter finish. Medium bodied.

Cask (handpump) @ Marble Arch Inn, 73 Rochdale Rd, Manchester, Greater Manchester England M4 4HY.Clear medium to dark yellow orange color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, grapefruity, flowers. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate to heavy shell bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090715]

Cask @ the Crescent Manchester. Fresh lemon aroma. Firm lemony grassy hopbitterness, persisting in the aftertaste. I thoroughly enjoyed this lovely ale.

Cask at Ealing beer festival 2009. A black pour with small beige head. Roasty, hoppy aroma. Roasted, malt, coffee and slightly bitter taste, quite rich too. A good quality stout from a damn fine English brewery.

Cask @ National Winter Ales Festival 2009, Manchester. Pours a dark brown almost black color with a small tan head. Has a rich malty coffee aroma with some hoppy hints. Roasted malty coffee flavor with some hints of dark fruit. Has a roasted malty coffee finish with a bitter aftertaste.

Cask @ National Winter Ales Festival 2009, Manchester. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty floral hoppy aroma. Slightly sweetish malty hoppy flavor with some hints of caramel. Has a fruity malty hoppy finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.
