Cask gravity at Reading BF 2007. I had this down as Marble Half Cut Mild at 4.0%. Ginger aroma. Fairly light in body, but it is definitely gingery. Light mild with ginger.

Cask gravity at Planet Thanet BF 2007. Gold colour with bubbly off white ehad. Odd citrus fruit jumble here. Tangerine and grapefruit. Astringent, almost harsh finish. Floral and flowery and a bit of perfume, but not in a good way. Some toffee malt. Marble normally make very good beers, so was surprised at the low score for this beer, but now I can see why, this just doesnโt quite work

(Cask at Marble Arch, Manchester, 28 July) Colour is golden yellow with little head. Nose is fruity with lots of citrus (mostly lemon, but some grapefruit as well) and a grassy hop aroma. Same goes for the taste: fruity with grapefruit and lemon, long bitter (citrus style hop taste) finish. Some sweetness, but well balanced by the citrus. Very nice, hoppy and summery.

(Cask at Marble Arch, Manchester, 27 July) Colour is copper/orange with a firm white head, slightly hazy (no finings). Nose is fruity with a dominant ginger aroma and notes of citrus (orange). Taste is fruity with notes of orange and apricots and loads of ginger in the finish. Starts sweet but turns drier towards the finish. It has a seriously spicy/hot bite of ginger. Interesting.

(Cask at Marble Arch, Manchester, 27 July) Colour is golden yellow with frothy white head. Nose is fruity and hoppy with notes of spices, hay, pineapple and lemon. Taste is fruity with a nice spicy, floral hop character and notes of tropical fruit (pineapple). Rather dry and slightly metallic finish. Complex and very nice stuff.

Draught@brew pub ("Ginger Marble"). Golden color, small white creamy head. Spicey and also "sweet" aroma of ginger. Malty, strong flavor of ginger - especially in the aftertaste, which is very spicey. (5/3/6/2/10 2.6)
