Tap at Outlander. hazy yellow color, a little lighter color than the grapefruit sour. some mango in the aroma and flavor, a little fruit sugar but dry malt. good and sessionable, but it does not have the qualities i expect of a saison so I found it to be more of a fruit beer.

Tap at the brewery. Great appearance for this beer, dark red, like a real Belgian fruit lambic. Aroma has yeast and lots of berry, sour flavor, and berry as well here. Barnyard and earthy. Not quite as good as the real thing, but it is sure close. Great beer. of note is the alcohol, which is far too high for a lambic.

Tap at Outlander. hazy, yellow color. it looks like a New Engliand IPA. Citrus and acid, yeast. Sour bite, and good grapefruit flavor as well. Refreshing and tart, a good summer beer and one of the better beers I tried in Seattle.

Draft pour at Outlander, Seattle. A hazy copper pour with an active fizz head. Aroma is a bit of a harsh fruity malt. Not the aroma I look for in any beer style. Flavor is a cool, and override banana. A ton of mixed fruit that doesn’t go together for me at all. A sweet, malt linger that I’d like to forget. Yuck. An absolute miss for me.

Draft pour pint at Outlander, Seattle. A darker hazy orange pour with a patchy head. Sour aroma with white grape like character. Mixed fruit. Flavor is a strange fruit cocktail like mixture, with a tart, milky finish. In no way does this suggest IPA to me. Truly unique. Oak notes come through. Cool. Fun beer for sure.

Draft pour pint at Outlander, Seattle. Very intriguing beer styles. Creamy, near black pour with a rocky foam head. Tart black cherry majority aroma. Flavor is tart up front, thick and creamy. Some vanilla, chocolate, and peppermint hidden underneath. Sour, but it’s not the main feature in this. Weird, but not bad.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange amber with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has hibiscus with some light fruit, grass and grains supporting. Flavor has an earthy hibiscus with flora and light grains.

Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates completely. Aroma actually smells like sauerkraut with some vinegar and a hint of sweet grains. Flavor tastes like sauerkraut with a bit of lemon bitterness and a hint of vinegar.
