Description
Both Kiwi Scott and Aussie Cam learnt how to make full flavoured beers as home brewers and then studied how to make these beers consistently at Versuchs und Lehranstalt fur Braurei (VLB) Berlin. Lured to Ireland by two Irish cailins and in search of good beer, they came up with an idea: let’s brew it ourselves!
In 2010 they established Eight Degrees Brewing at the foot of the Galtee Mountains and, after much work, stainless steel and (never ending!) research launched their first beer on an unexpecting world at the 2011 EasterFest.

Bottle at home. Aroma is fruity hops, tropical fruits, bready malt, some caramel, citrus, tangerine, pine resin, biscuit. Flavour is nicely bitter with a little pleasant malty sweetness. Body is medium but firm. Very nice, appears quite malty at first but the citrus hoppy flavours become more noticeable when you drink more of it.

Bottle from Lekkerbier, Sint Nicolaasga. Aroma is biscuity malt, hops, fruity notes with soft tropical fruits, caramel, herbal notes, grass, citrus, mild grapefruit and a touch of apricot. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and with a bitter finish. Body is medium. Pretty nice, doesn’t have a lot of depth, hops are herbal and mildly fruity, pleasant bitterness. Very decent IPA.

Tap at Farringtons, Dublin: Clear amber coloured brew with an great caramel taste to become addicted, also some New Zealandic hoppy aftertaste. Fun fact the day i ordered this beer was very sunny in Dublin and i was sunburned. Staff behind the bar noticed the sunburned fact, its was quite hilarious reaction of both sides.
