Description
Baeren Brewery is located in Morioka, Iwate prefecture which belongs in far north up from Tokyo Japan. We have some traditional and old vintage brewing equipment from southern district of Germany and carried here into Morioka. The traditional way of beer brewing still lives on here and Mr. Miyaki who got certificated as a Brewmeister in Berlin, Germany makes great and beautiful beers. The location of our brewery is perfect also for hiking because it is located near the center of the city and stands just by Route 4 but at the same time surrounded by a forest, which means you can easily and naturally feel the nature around.

Dark straw colour. Rich bready aroma notes with alcoholic spiciness. Somewhat light - the rich, bready goodness promised in the nose is obscured by a fresh mountain waterfall. Slightly malty and alcoholic finish.

Dark straw colour. Low visible carbonation and no head. Bready malt aroma - slightly honeyish, slightly cidery. Flavour is sweetish with a slight huskiness and a further hint of cider. Wet body. Finish is the cleanest these pale malts have been all beer.

Bottled, thanks IslandHaole! Dark brown, small head. Medium dry with soft mouthfeel. There’s chocolate, coffee and paper as well as grassy hops and solid malt, plus some pine needles. Medium bitterness. Fairly hoppy for a schwarzbier.

Bottled, thanks IslandHaole! Cloudy orange brown. Estery pineapple aroma. Flavour of rye and bubblegum. With it’s restrained sweetness, well hidden alcohol and slim, yet firm body it is strangely like a good Finnish sahti. Almondy finish, more like in Belgian ales. A tasty and very interesting beer, but what is it? A weizenbock from partly rye malt, or?

Bottled, thanks IslandHaole! Cloudy orange, extremely lively, huge head. Aroma of bubblegum and bread. Papery and fruity, fairly sweet with clean mouthfeel and notes of blackberries. Short, salty finish. Flavourful and interesting.
