TAP at the brewpub. Clear red. Sweet sugary, traces of ginger and lemon. The taste is only moderately sweet, quite heavy on ginger, with a prominent earthy spicy bitterness.

APR-2019. Tap at brewpub. Hazy bright amber, ivory sticky head. Aroma is sticky caramel, rosebud gem, bitter citrus and herbs - sweet and yummy. The taste is thankfully only moderately sweet - just some generic caramel, pretty smooth and clean body, strong piney and herbal bitterness. Not really an IPA, as the hop oils are mostly missing both from flavour and aroma (more like an amber ale), but surely smooth and moreish. 6-4-7-4-14=3.5

JUN-2017. TAP at the brewpub. Almost clear amber, off-white head. Smells of caramel, nicely buttery, a trace of citrus, some rosebud marmalade. Similar taste, moderate herbal bitterness. Quite a bit of youngish astringency. Flawed, but drinkable. 6-4-6-3-13=3.2

TAP at the brewpub. Clear dark brown, beige head. Smells of caramelized sugar, burned sugar, just a touch winey. Similar burnt sugar taste, nice roasty and hoppy bitterness. Dumb, but drinkable.

APR-2019. Tap at the source. Cloudy bright yellow, sticky white head. Smells of white bread / dough and freshly cut unripe apples - young and fresh, like all decent brewpub lagers do. Tastes dry and bitter, with just a little bit of dough and green fruit. Lively carbonation, moreish clean strong and smooth dry herbal bitterness. Really nice. 6-4-7-4-14=3.5,

JUN-2017. TAP at brewpub. Cloudy yellow, white head. Smells of young lager, eggs as well as matches. Crisp and dry, a nice dry herbal bitterness. Bit it is just too abrasive and young. Not bad, still. 5-4-5-3-11=2.8

TAP at the brewpub. Clear golden, white head. Fresh grain and husk, some harsh young stoke match. Crisp dry bready taste with a good deal of good old diacetyl. A little of that fermentation tartness and astringency, very little hops. Ok, brewpubish. Pretty clean overall.
