Good Karma IPA from Mad Anthony Brewing Co.

Sampled from the tap at GTMW 2022. Pours a clear gold with a slight copper hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of light pine and grass with some grains backing. Flavor has grain, bread and light pine with grass and citrus rind in the finish.

Cold IPA from Mad Anthony Brewing Co.

Pours mostly clear gold with a lingering white head. The aroma is hoppy, of course. Kind of tropical. The flavor has that solid hops bitterness, as advertised, with citrus and resin. Medium body. Quite good.

Pours amber brown with a lingering off white head. The aroma is mainly caramel malt. The flavor is toasted caramel malt and mild hops bitterness. Light to medium body. It works better than I expected. It was never going to be a top choice for me as I’m generally not much into the session beers, but it’s not watery. It’s flavorful. It’s well balanced. This is alright.

Pours a gold orange color with a lingering white head. Mild aroma of caramel malt and vaguely fruity hop resin. The flavor has a mild bitterness, caramel malt, resin, and a touch of fruit (melon?). Fairly good overall.

Smoky Rye Whiskey Barrel Aged Barleywine from Mad Anthony Brewing Co.

Very hazy pour with a small head. The aroma is of smoked malt with lots of whiskey. It tastes sweet with caramel malt, whiskey, smoke, and booze. It’s a bit hot despite an abv that’s not all that high for the style, but I like the smoky, whiskey flavor. 75 ibus? Hard to believe, but the sweetness isn’t overwhelming. Very enjoyable.

Pours mostly clear copper with an aroma of resinous hops and cannabis with a little citrus. The flavor has moderate to strong hop bitterness with the resinous/piney hops and cannabis blending well. Medium bodied. Very good.

Pours hazy pale yellow with a one finger lingering head that laces well. It smells dank with cannabis and hops. The flavor is moderately to strongly bitter with citrus and cannabis. The latter isn’t overwhelming. Medium bodied. I’ve no idea what the cereal added did for this beer, if anything.

Keg at Brewdog Indianapolis Nov 2019. Pours opaque red towards purple with a pink cap. Aroma: raspberry, wheat. Taste: light tart, semi dry, raspberry, wheat, red berry yoghurt. Light to medium body with light carbonation

Pours hazy yellow with a small, lingering white head. It smells of lemons and mild cannabis. The flavor has moderate bitterness with lemon, orange, resin, and mild cannabis. It’s quite good.
