Bottle from the brewery. Only took them 22 years to make a pale ale... Amber-orange-brown color. Nothing pale about this. Tall, fine head. Nose is caramel, pine, orange, grapefruit, light chocolate. Fruity flavor includes something tropical, also caramel, light chocolate. Body is light and crisp. Finish is slightly metallic and resinous. Not badly made, though not special either, and more like an amber ale from the 90s than a pale ale in 2020.

Clear pale gold with a decent white head. Artificial lemon peel. Intense sweet candied lemon and a decent finish.

Bottle @ Awajishima themed izakaya in Shibuya. Darker golden pour, lots of fluffy white foam, even a bit too much of it. Nose has some light fruitiness, light bitter and somewhat malty base. Taste is malty, light bitterness, lightly tannic. Quite basic, not bad though.

Light medium golden color. Frothy white head that disappeared pretty quickly. Light cereal malt and light grassy nose. Off dry, more towards a Hellas IMO with semi-sweet maltiness. Not a lot of body or bitterness, though there low medium bitterness. Soft rounded mouthfeel which worked pretty good for the Alt, but less so for this. Ok, but didn’t do a lot for me

Fiery red amber color with lots of carbonation. Off white head. Dusty with caramel and some cherries. Low medium bitterness, very carbonated, dry, cherries and caramel in the finish with fairly long bitterness. Fairly simple, fairly well balanced but lacks depth. As i drank more, i appreciated the soft mouthfeel. Very authentic.

Very carbonated, light golden color. Grassy hoppy nose with sweet notes from the rice. Good cereal notes on the palate, dry and crisp, with medium bitterness. Sharp dry finish with modest bitterness lingering. Very approachable nice summer beer

Tap @ BeerFes Yokohama, September 17th, 2017. Pours beautiful golden with a white head. Nose grainy, soft sweetness and light noble hop character. Light, probably from rice. Tastes grainy and displays rice well, surprisingly so, otherwise light and with a sharp finish. Some sourish notes coming out in the end. Clean beer, fresh and has some flavour, not bad for a rice pilsner.

Tap at Osaka Beer Fes 2017. Cloudy pale golden color. Big lemon nose, zest mostly. Lemon and wheaty biscuit flavor, crisp, tart, good body but simple. 6/3/6/4/13
