bananas, cloves, a touch of burnt nose. Light tart, but way too much phenols. Why over the top with phenols. Like a cider. Very unbalanced. Blah.

Relatively mild and clean aroma, bananas, cloves, just a touch of citrus. Seems to have a high percentage of barley malt. Slightly dark gold color, but with a small head and lots of large bubbles. Medium rich wheat malt flavor, slightly earthy as well. Slightly thin and spritzy body. Not bad but too thin and light and not enough wheat flavor.

Slightly thin-looking yellow color. Medium malt aroma with noticeable hops. Fruity, a bit citrus. Nice malty flavor, cereals, a bit of butter, ok hopping. Decent hoppy, peppery finish. Light, drinkable, refreshing. Opened up as it warmed into a nice, fruity pils. Good balance and likeable.

Bottle. Also called Yamizo ni mori Helles. Very fruity, slightly buttery aroma, lemon, biscuits, rich malt. Deep, slightly dark gold color, quickly fading head that goes to a thin lace. Very malty flavor, rich and rather sweet, alcohol seems present, as does something medicinal. Fruity, with good bitter hop balance. Can’t tell why I taste alcohol though. Decent, with rich malt and nice fruit, and a decent balance as well, although the medicinal taste and alcohol burn are strange and take away from what started as a much better beer.
