Tap at Before 9 tap takeover. Bright, deep orange, cloudy, with lace. Nose is guava, citrus, a bit of malt. Nicely sour but a bit funky, guava but a rather raspy, astringent finish. Not bad but the Indigo was much nicer.

Tap at Before 9 tap takeover. Cloudy indigo blue color, kind of weird but fun. Flat. Nose is lactic acid, citrus fruit (Yuko are added). Nice, tart, Berliner nose. Sweet and sour flavor, nice citrus, a bit lactic. Crisp and refreshing and enjoyable. Best of the night.

Tap at Before 9 tap takeover. "Sweet Tangerine IPA." Nose is citrus and biscuits. cloudy deep orange color with lace. Nice orange in the flavor, but then a weird funky roughness. Decent fruit and hop combination with some biscuity malt but something went funky with the fermentation I think. Rough finish. Ok.

Tap at Before 9. Hazy orange color. Nose is stone fruit, oranges, biscuity malt, slightly funky. Flavor starts nice and fruity but crashes into a slight infection, rough, astringent, husky, barnyard.

Bottle from Yamaoka. On popping the cap on this one I kind of thought it was off, I poured the murky orange brew into my KBC snifter and that off smell resolved into an intense catpiss. It is light bodied and dry but in a somewhat chalky way. The taste doesn't really give me much spice, ginger or lemon. It comes off as one of those saisons on the edge of being a sour or brett beer. Interesting, I wonder if that is what they were going for. It grew on me from 3.3 to 3.5, possibly even 3.6. I think some people would love this.

Tap at Before 9. Listed as a session IPA at 4.9%. Pineapple, orange, yuzu nose, biscuity malt. Wheaty, smooth, low carbonation. Nice fruit flavor, good and punches well for a session.

First tap of the day at Craft Beer Picnic 2017. Nice cloudy/hazy honey gold color with a creamy white head of foam which is to style. The aroma was juicy and fruity but much less so than many NE IPAs. Medium bodied and it had a nice mouthfeel. The taste lived up to the nose so it was a satisfying take on the style.

Tap @ Kamikatz Taproom, Tokyo. Pours hazy, somewhat dirty orange. Not much carbonation and only very sparse foam. Nose is fruity and aggressively tropical. Sharply ripe mango, papaya, some overripe pineapple with some sourish notes. Taste has lots of perfume, hops are just giving out only their flower's dust aromatics. No real resins and no bitterness to speak about. Drinks smooth, slightly bitter edge in the finish. Not a bad try on the style, although maybe too much perfume.
