Tap at the Heian Jingu Beer Garden. Medium amber. Nutty, toasty malt nose, grape, grapefruit, light caramel. Dry malty flavor with nice fruity hops. Munich malt makes an interesting combination with the lager yeast in this cold IPA.

Kind of indistinct berries but it’s nice. Some vanilla type sweetness too, which I’m kind of enjoying but not sure if it’s supposed to be there. Is it raspberry? Tastes kind of red.

Lots of maltiness as you’d expect from an esb. Pretty authentic. But at the same time more interesting hoppiness. Light spiciness. It’s alright.

On tap at Craft Beer Bar iBrew - Shinbashi Eki mae, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out crisp grassy hops, straw, and crackery malt. Flavour is crisp, with biting grassy hops, some spiciness from the Saaz no doubt, and crisp crackery malt. Nicely balanced, well-hopped, with pleasing bitterness and crispness.
