Murky, amberish, sticky and rich, figgy and some bourbon, especially the vanilla accent. Vanilla figgy pudding. Maybe orange rind on that. Looks like shit but tastes good.

16oz can from Uptown Market. Opaque brown pour, thick, fluffy beige head. Sweet, nutty aroma. Taste is malty, nutty, light sweetness. Simple, but so well done.

On tap at Brouwer's Cafe for Barrel Bash (Big Wood) 2023, pours a deep dark brown / black with a small light brown head. Aroma brings out gentle bourbon, lots of booze, and a touch of oak. Flavour is quite boozy, with plenty of bourbon, somewhat harsh booziness, and burnt sugars. Nice barrel character but seems harsh and a bit uncoordinated. Decent but needs some work.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a decent amount of pine with some flora citrus with a bit of sweet grains backing. Flavor has dank citrus and pine with sweet grains and some onion in the finish.

16oz can from Hops & Bottles. Pours out deep golden, cloudy, one finger creamy white head. Aroma is malty and lime. Taste is fruity, sweet, limes, leading up to a dry finish. A little bit of Froot Loops too, didn't pick it up at first, but it's there.

16 oz. can. Aroma is raisin, fig, oak, burnt English toffee. The flavor shows the whiskey barrel throughout the sip. Has a large character of various dark fruits. Medium bodied with a mildly warming finish. Pretty good.

Can. Pours a dark cola hue with a medium light brown head. A big malty toast, chocolate and barrel nose. Sweet, the dominant flavor is burnt caramel, some cocoa, sweet whiskey. Very big, but fairly smooth. Damn good.
