Draft 12 oz pour at Special Brews. Slight haze, bright golden pour with a patchy head. Juicy, tropical fruit like aroma, big hop constant. Moderate bitter, juicy hops, some pineapple and Passion fruit like flavors. Easy finish for an imperial. Pleasant IIPA here. I’ve learned to expect great things from the hoppy beers from these guys. Awesome.

Hazy orange with a white head. Tropical fruity with some resin and citrus. Full bodied. Juicy. Quite enjoyable.

Draft pour at Teku Tavern, Seattle. A glowing golden orangepour with a disappearing head. Funky peach and apricot like aroma. Flavor is a dry funk as well. A little tart, but a bit more sweet. Peach, a little on the juicy side. A fun, unique beer here. Solid, but I’ve already seen much more impressive stuff from these guys.

Draft 8 oz pour at Chucks, Central District. A rookie brewery that is off to such a hot start, I’m seeking out their new brews until I can visit them at their new taproom, and tell them how good the beer is. An intriguing beer here. A lighter, session pale, with a ton of flavor. Golden orange, juicy pour. Patchy head. Juicy orange, mango and pineapple aroma. Flavor is very juicy as well. Melon fruit, mango, tropical mix. Soft grains, and a cream background. Moderate bitterness late. Has a light feel, but not 4.3 light. A ton of fruit come back late. Another solid release from these guys.

Draft pour pint at Hop and Hound, Bothell. Then another pint. Couldn’t help it. Thick, hazy orange juice pour with a cream cap head. What a treat this IPA is. Aroma is bursting with a tart tropical fruit. Mango, orange, pineapple. Sour fruit smoothie like aroma. Flavor is a little tart too, wondering if this was inintentional, or a nice mistake. Tropical Fruit constant flavor. Orange juice. Fruit puree. Flavor matches the aroma pretty closely. Really wondering if this is another beer that Matchless adds no fruit at all, much to my surprise, but just finds a magical hop combination instead. Coming from the brewer that shows us that hops are the new fruit, I’m not too surprised to see the level of mixed fruit here. Peaches in the late palate. Creamy vanilla to round the flavor out. The tart constant seems to seperate this from the rest of the pack. This is a damn near perfect IPA for my taste. Fun to experience this new Norwegian yeast strain, and find gold in the first taste. Starting to look like there will be some competition in the local Seattle IPA game. This was one of the best I’ve had. Seriously impressed with this one.

On tap at ABV. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. A nice fruity nose, perfume and citrus hops. Light biscuit sweet caramel body. Big but soft fruity hops, pine. Great beer from a new brewery (to me).

Draft 12 oz pour at Brouwers, Seattle. A clean and clear golden pour with a thin foam head. A type fruit, citrus hops aroma. Creamy body, juicy fruit hops. Fruit flavors here are just short of being too sweet. Starting to look like these guys have something going. Another good beer here

40 oz growler filled at Flatstick Pub, because for some reason, I thought that would be enough of this beer to satisfy. Hardly so. Delicious IPA here, and quite the introduction to a brewery I was already looking forward to. Quite an impressive debut single here. Hazy golden orange pour with a ton of foam head and lacing. Fruit heavy IPA. Tropical, mango orange fruit aroma. Flavor is creamy and extremely refreshing. A moderate bitterness to follow, and a soft bready malt, but all takes a back seat to the fruit character that explodes in this beer. So juicy and delicious. Huge variety of different fruit and hop character. Can’t wait to see what else these guys can do, but I’m not done with this one yet. This won’t be my last go with this one. Loved it.
