Get a slight hint of habenero. Definitely the cacao and vanilla.

650 ml bottle from a recent trip to PA. I can’t have dairy so drinking this is dessert in a glass. The smell reminders me of mint chocolate chip ice cream, just spot on mint and chocolate. The flavor is right on point with the nose. Light roasted malt, mellow milk chocolate with mint being almost overwhelming, almost. Body is slightly thin but the flavor really works for a dessert stout

Thanks AFH for sharing this bomber picked up in PA. Bomber split 3 ways @ 45F-50F. This isa pitch black beer, just a minor head and fades fast. This smells amazing just like the most mint chocolate chip oreo, ice cream sunny in a glass. Yup. The taste is very close to Fernet Branca w/ mint almost a juniper like spiciness and the aftertaste is like a mint liqueur that really sticks around. Sharp chocolate at the start but that fades fast. In some ways, I love it in other ways, it’s really nice to split this one. Lots of flavor but very clearly dominated by mint.

22 oz bottle provided by Reggiedunlap. Pitch black color with thin off white head in the snifter. Aroma is loads of chocolate with a malted milk balls, like ""Whoppers" candy. Flavor is bakers chocolate, hints of burnt espresso and light vanilla beans. Not a bad base stout but I really don’t get peanut butter any place in the flavor or nose. My expectations may have been a bit high. Mouthfeel is ok. Sorry Kerry, The peanut butter Porter I had before this worked better.

Thanks Chris for sharing this one. Bomber from PA. 1 finger creamy chocolate head with some big and tight bubbles. Pitch Black appearance. Really faint peanut butter aroma, some unsweetened chocolate, a bit of cinnamon, maple and schoolhouse chalk. Chalky taste, I get green pepper at the middle and finish. clove, other herbal spices. Very bitter chocolate chalky finish. Not a HUGE fan based on the description but still a drinkable beer.

From the December 2014 3R6P tasting. +++ Sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a large creamy dark brown head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was dried ancho chili pepper, cocoa, wood, black pepper and was pretty boozy. The flavor was tangy ancho chili peppers, cocoa, black pepper and vanilla. Still quite boozy. Very long finish. Moderately full bodied. Interesting.

Sampled on draft at Denny’s Beer Barrel this beer poured a dark caramel color with a small creamy orange-tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was very strong sweet caramel, toffee and butterscotch. The flavor was a bit off but had strong toffee, butterscotch, a sweet presence and cinnamon. Long butterscotch and cinnamon finish. Medium body. Odd but interesting.

Bottle thanks to Jake. Shared at weekly share. Pours black tan head. Nose and taste is mostly strong jalapeno with some chocolate, rum, cocoa and lightly soured coffee. Infection was noticeable but not horrendous. The overpowering jalapeno was a bit much even for me and I love pepper beers. Medium body.
