From the hand pump at Mother Tree. Amber-bronze, slightly hazy, with a tall, airy, fine head (sparkler?), Nose is herbal hops with a bit of citrus, caramel, toast. Flavor is light toast and caramel, and herbal UK hops. Light body, low carbonation, pretty well done bitter. Could drink many.

Tap at Mother Tree. Big citrus ho nose, seems like Cascade, Citra. Caramel and chocolate malts. Hoppy flavor, lots of citrus, caramel, chocolate, toast. Quite sparkling carbonation. Nice enough, though I would probably prefer more traditional hopping and a hang pump.
Bit of hops, not much esb, but it’s quite nice. But it’s quite boring
Surprisingly nice. In fact really surprisingly nice . Herbs are subtle and saison is there.
Dirty tropical fruit. Feels quite strong but quite nice. Maybe slightly too funky for my liking. But it’s still fun.

Tap at Porta. Hazy, deep gold. Spicy nose, sweet malt, earthy, estery. Sweet and malt, lightly spicy and earthy, with citrus and fruity notes. Reminds me of a good Biere de garde. Delicious.

Tap at Porta. Slightly hazy orange amber with a thick head. Yeasty, estery nose, spicy, orange, coriander, caramel, chocolate. Sweet and spicy flavor, somewhat yeasty, with caramel malts. Silky smooth body. Decent.

CBB LAB: Olfactory Works Otoso Ale 2023 Amber Ale Inspired by Japanese New Year’s Sake 6% This was CBB Mother Tree’s NEW YEAR’s beer which from the label in the top is a spiced winter ale(goji berries, fennel, cinnamon, yuzu, orange, timur, cloves & saflower). Honey brown with beige foam and a big spiced aroma. It’s a bit on the murky side but the smell is enticing. Lighter bodied than I expected, very effervescent and refreshing. The taste is bright citrus and spices. Good but feels like stuff I’ve homebrewed in the past.

CBB Start Rhine Kolsch 5% Mother tree’s 1st anniversary beer is a beautiful straw gold with white foam and a crisp light refreshing body. The taste is lemony herbal hops. I can see downing this continuously in Koln.
