Draft at the brewery. Pinkish-purple colour without much head. Tart, light currant taste, a little funky sourness, which they buried under a lot of fruit. Had this again in 2020 and I probably liked it a bit better, just in terms of balance, so a slight upgrade on the score is warranted.

Growler - Sweet, sour and dark Berry. Deep cloudy red with a decent pink head. Dark fruity sour cassis. Little acidity makes it better than juice.

Bottle. Legacy. Dark reddish-brown colour, fairly clear. Just a thin head on this one. One the nose, all those bright hops that were promised. And a fair bit of toasty malts. Actually a nice combo, in part because I don’t get too much estery Belgian yeast, which is really not the right yeast at all for this sort of beer. On the palate, some grapefruity, juicy hop character that also adds floral lychee notes typical of Galaxy. Toasty, crackery malts are really nice, with a nutty, almost chewy finish. Has a lot of apparent bitterness - not surprised given it’s a F&W brew. The malts are good, the hops all very nice, and thankfully the "East Coast" ale yeast dominates. Juniper berries appear mainly on the ingredients list.

Cloudy, quite pale. Thin head. Papaya nose with a touch of orange. Bitter...a bit husky and harsh. Lots of bitterness but really kind of astringent. Not the most fully-realized beer.

Cask - Tropical notes and a bit vomit like. Hazy pale gold with a frothy white head. Spicy and earthy hops with some lemongrass. Bitter and herbal finish.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a hazy dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out light floral notes from the juniper berries, some hoppy bitterness and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is rather bold, with an aggressive piney hop quality, melding well with the juniper berries and dried out by a big biscuity malt. Surprisingly bold and interesting. Wasn't expecting much from the style / description, so this exceeds that.

Black,tan head.Nose of piney hops/dark fruit.Thin palate, bitter roast. Notes of cocoa & dark fruit.Low insweetness and carbonation. More Black IPA than Impy Stout

From a bomber bottle, bright white stuff on top of the white-yellow stuff called body, lots of clear-white things called bubbles, meh. Huge cloying sugar sweetness on this like the bad fruit beer experiments from Belgium (not the good ones... the good ones are, well, good). Apple syrup aroma; like that one bottle I bought in Paris some years ago that was just carbonated apple juice. Strawberry you say though. Flavour is more balanced - strawberry comes through, well balanced with the wheat, but I can’t say that the two work well with each other. It’s like the flavour profiles were well done but the end result, well, just isn’t that interesting. But it did grow on me and now that I’m at the end of this bomber I find the balance to be pretty good... that initial aroma is the problem. Not a bad fruit beer, smarts on subtlety which is something I do appreciate.

Minimal head, champagne-like light yellow body with heavy carbonation. Strong floral hops on the nose, peaches, grapefruit especially. Good flowery air freshener kind of flavour, reminds me of some of the more fun lambic experiments in Belgium. Would have preferred a better finish, just comes across as muddy. Interesting elements but they are not all cooperating together.
