Pours a muddy orange with very modest foam. Big sweet guava on the nose, very smoothie like, nothing else though. Flavour is plenty of juicy guava, sweet with slight tartness. A bit of beer character here and there wouldn't hurt.

Pours a thick brown with very good foam. Deep maltiness on the nose, soft cranberry. Flavour is plenty of tartness, strong malt back end, biscuit. Full with good carbonation. Much more malt forward sour than you get around here, which I like.

Good black body and modest beige foam. Nice chocolate syrup and molasses on the nose. Flavour brings out coffee, cocoa, chocolate mousse. Dry finish though it's all a little narrow and thin.

Foggy yellow body and little foam, good yeasty peppery grain on the nose. Flavour is narrow grain, lemon, dry finish. A little thin, slight bitter lemon to finish. Boring but drinkable.

Poured from 650mL bottle (stamped 2021-01-07). Near black with solid tan head. Fairly light roast, oats, mild rum and raisin with... glue, lots of it. Not pleasant. Extremely disappointed.

Bomber from LDB. It's pretty dark, and pours thick. Nice little hazelnut chocolate aroma. On the palate, it's nice and thick. Mostly chocolatey, almost syrupy, lots of residual body and sweetness, I guess a lot of lactose. The hazelnut isn't super powerful on the palate, but it's there. It's interesting because it has the richness of a bigger beer. I'm always wary of lower abv pastry stouts because they're usually too thin. But this gets there.

473mL can, pours jet black with a small tan head. Nose brings out a sort of hearty oats character, with gentle rum and raisins, and a little roast. Flavour is rather harsh and chalky, with lots of glue, moderate roast, and boozy rum (like it was just poured into the keg). This isn't a complex stout—chaotic, harsh and lacking depth. Not so good.

2020 Version What a difference a brewer makes, this is a shadow of it's former self, one dimensional and quite antiseptic

Nice medium gold body and modest foam, earthy vegetal hops on the nose akin to roast beef. Flavour is soft chewy hops, slight resin, mellow sweetness. Okay oiliness. Clean and subtle.

Muddy light orange body and good foam, nice apricot on the nose with a hint of sweet hops. Flavour is fresh apricot tempered by some bitter piney hops. Full mouthfeel, good carbonation. The elements work well together.
