Soft sweet grain aroma, maybe vague lemon, good foam and nice carbonation. Flavour is plenty of chewy grain, soft lemony sweetness on the back end. Mostly dry finish. Not bad but the lemon could be more prominent.

Has that apricotty colour. Quite hazy. No head. Lots of bitterness, and a nice apricotty character. A bit of clash in there.

Pale amber, sort of a dull amber colour, just a thin head. It’s got a fresh taste in terms of vinous notes and strawberry but I’m definitely finding those two elements are clashing. It’s pretty sweet, with just a touch of sour.

Deep copper with small white heads. Blueberry and vegetal notes. Sweet blueberry notes and a long finish. Why?

473mL can, pours a deep dark red with a small off-white head. Aroma reveals plenty of blueberry upfront, with a touch of vanilla and a touch of Belgian yeast. Flavour is quite fruity, with tart blueberry, a touch of vanilla, and earthy yeasty notes. A bizarre concoction -- who'da thunk a blueberry vanilla biere de garde was a good idea? This is a mess.

Can, from the brewery. Nasty dull brown colour - not at all what beer looks like. Piney, bitter, amber, bit hazy. Has a slight chewiness, but it's mostly rich resinous hops. They promised an upgrade to Citra 45 would bring about a brighter hop aroma, and I'd say not only that but cleaner as well, given that I'm not digging citra right now. I quite like the 2.0.

Bottle from BCL Solo
It pours an opaque brown, with medium beige head. It's very earthy, with vegetable bitterness in the finish; too bad because the aroma has some nice floral and tropical hop, although muffled by the malt and maybe by the yeast.
Makes me wonder why somebody would brew a fundamentally flawed concept like this, in this year.
