very pale golden white color. Frothy white head. Dry nose with nice orange peel, a bit of shiquasa (!?!) light tart nose. Crisp, very carbonated, but citrus notes don’t shine as much as the body isn’t as soft as I would like for the style (more wheat would have helped). Still very refreshing and sitting outside on the brewery’s patio on a hot May Day this hit the spot.

very hazy light golden amber color. Beautiful peach, Muscat and white gummy bears in the nose. Juicy, medium low bitternessnes. Mouthfeel is a bit off but hops shine, light body. Drier than it should be but super quaffable. Nice stuff

very hazy light golden amber color. Lots of DMS in the nose that distracts from other aspects. The mouth is full of DMS though underlying beer seems like a very low hopped pale ale. Apparently uses rice and noodles. You’d have to be a bit noodle to make this type of beer and the results show.

fiery red color autumn color. Almost more of a sweet honey pale ale with Yuzu in the background. Malt focused, with low bitterness, modestly sweet with honey and Yuzu, but in the aftertaste I got a touch of plastic. Not bad but not that interesting

dark brown color. Excellent nose of soy sauce, roasted malt, salty licorice, dried mushrooms and some dark fruit. Fantastic. Light body, and lacking roastiness, but some excellent character continues from The nose. Overall not super well balanced but soy sauce really integrates well. More body, more hops and this could be super amazing.

Aka mame mame Ruddy reddish-brown in color with a thick beige head and a bready spicy peppery aroma. The taste is tangy fruits, bready, peppery on a smooth medium body. A decent beer but I heard the others were diacetyl bombs. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at 2018 Kyoto Zest Oike Beer Festival. Fruity nose, citrus fruit and zest, caramel malts. Flavor is sweet citrus and malt, fruity, rounded. Not bad. No DMS at least.

Tap at 2018 Kyoto Zest Oike Beer Festival. Nose is chocolate and soy sauce, lightly roasted. A bit on the sweet side with soy sauce noses, chocolate. Not extremely dry but decent and avoids the hue DMS problems of the other two beers.

Tap at 2018 Kyoto Zest Oike Beer Festival. Again huge DMS bomb. Some citrus and grapefruit hops behind the cabbage and creamed corn. Flavor and nose better than the Kin, but still barely drinkable on account of the DMS. Some ok citrus notes are there. Heavy and thick.

Tap at 2018 Kyoto Zest Oike Beer Festival. Stinky nose of creamed corn and cabbage. Big time DMS. Behind that are some sake-like notes but the DMS is overwhelming and horrible. Cloudy gold. Flavor is DMS with some lemon and dish soap. A huge problem here. Not drinkable.
