Poured from the tap. Slightly hazy light blonde with white head. Flavour of Belgian yeast, mild citrus and spice, mild alcohol. Medium body, finish is just a little bit quick.

650mL bottle, pours an opaque dark amber with a medium beige head. Aroma is nice and dry, with Belgian yeast, bready malts, and a dry biscuity quality. Flavour is essentially the same, with dry bready malts, Belgian yeast, and the faintest dry fruitiness. Bone dry, lightly spicy and brewed to style. Very nice stuff.

Bottle - Fruit esters, caramel malts and sweet Belgian yeast. Thick gold with a rich white head. Stone fruit, light grassy bitterness and malts with a mellow yeast finish. Nice.

Bottle - Pale malts, grass, lemon zest and some light Belgian yeast. Cloudy yellow gold with a thin bubbly white head. Pale malts, light sugars, and the typical Belgian yeasty finish. A light bitterness is there, which is nicely balanced against the sweetness and a bit of booze in the finish. Not usually a fan of the style, but their version works for me.

650mL bottle, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Nose brings out a mixture of spices, Belgian yeast and hay. Flavour is very similar, with a juicy palate - not as dry as advertised. Good mix of spices, with a touch of sweetness. Quite well-made, but could use some tweaking. Would like to see more dryness on this. All in all, very good, though I will revisit in some months.

Slightly hazy, light amber. Big fresh malt, fresh malts, complex yeast character. Dash of malts, very nice basic Belgian amber...clearly made by a student of the style.

Cloudy blonde, big blast of pale malt on the nose. Sweet front, fruity-yeast character with apple, mushroom, good complexity.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Cloudy light amber color with compact head. Mild aroma of spicy yeast, very light vegetables and fruity esters. Smooth mouthfeel; delicate malt flavor, with strong yeast presence; the yeast provides spices, some coriander, and a woody feeling; the moderate residual sweetness is well calibrated, the light fruity touch in the final is an extra; correct bitterness.
Well constructed, comprehensive beer.

1 year old, strong coriander notes; but now there seem to be more acidity than I expected.

It's mellow, sweeter, maybe fruitier, with powerful spicy yeast character; I'm liking it much more than I did 3 months ago. Excellent.2024-05-19, bottle, batch 928 2023-10-26, 8-4-8-4-16=40
The aroma has malty and spicy notes. The mouthfeel is smooth, with mellow honey malt, and added spices; moderate bitterness; still looking for more dryness and crispness and bitterness, but this is quite close.

It's on the mellow side, some residual sweetness, some Belgian yeast character, more woody than spicy. Very good, still not reaching the peak batches.
2024-03-31, bottle, batch 949 2024-01-18, 7-4-8-4-15=38
Quite cloudy; it's not the crispy batch from Feb '23, but the yeast spicy character is sharp; and it's much better than the Dec '23 batch. Delicate sweetness, and peachy esters.
2023-05-06, bottle, feb 2023, 7-5-9-4-16=41
Blond colour with just a sliht haze; large, compact head. Aroma of sweet malts, delicate fruity esters. Good body, moderate sweetness; the malt backbone is excelent, it's crisp and bready, almost chewy; the yeast gives a woody character, a hint of smoke, a pinch of pepper; and the bitterness is perfectly balanced.
True Belgian pleasure, excellent batch.
2014-06-09, draught at St. Augustine's, Vancouver, 6-3-7-3-14=33
Cloudy blond color with compact head. Light estery aroma, some banana. Good body strength; the malts have a honey and cereal accent, a bit of straws too, later; it has a strong spicy yeast character, and above average bitterness level. That kind of bitterness is a bit out of place, in the final.
Good, but not fully cohesive. I will get back to this one again.
