Poured from the tap @ Dageraad. Hazy gold with white head. Tart, Belgian yeast, mild Sauternes character on the underlay, decent.

375 ml bottle. Pours a mahogany colour with no head. Aromas of wood, mashed stoned fruit, grape must, and toasted malts. Flavours of oak, grapes (though maybe agave), tart mashed fruit and soft rye/malts. Nailed the cocktail flavors although obviously malty. Good.

5oz pour at The Magnet. Pours murky yellow with a white head. Aroma has tropical fruit and stems. Flavour has moldy orange peel and straw; light and tart. The long, bitter finish really throws it off for me. As it warms up there's definitely some burnt rubber.

Draught at the brewery
Cloudy, dull blond colour. Strong spirit aroma, with floral accents. Full bodied, sweet, the Antigoon base is still present here, but also dominated by the strong whiskey character, strong alcohol; peppery, light fennel. Good. Fun experiment, the regular Antigoon is easier to drink though.

Draught at the brewery, dink pour
Pale red colour, slight haze. It smells very weird: feet, soil, plastic, light berries. Good body, moderately sour, but with some acetic acid in the front, and doughy yeast later; berry juice, alcohol. Chaotic.

Draught at the brewery
Cloudy blond colour. It has the nose of other Dageraad strong ales, with a bit of fennel and plastic; and white grapes, but blindly I wouldn't guess Sauternes. Good body, moderately sweet; fruity character, also from the fermentation, but probably more from the barrel; some acidity, some Brett astringency; it's bold, and warming. On paper I expected something more elegant. Instead it's rather chaotic. Weird, but interesting.
