Poured from the tap. Hazy orangey pink with small white head. Saison yeast, rosé wine quality, medium+ carbonation. Come off as slightly gimmicky. Would have preferred rosé with more depth, this come off as a slightly cheap sparkling rosé.

Opaque, thin head. Bright stone fruit nose, little pineapple. On the palate, also a lot of pineapple, some hop burn, a bit of malt, moderate bitterness. Not bad, probably would like a touch more malt.

Deep gold, thin head. Big, bready aroma. Nice pale malt action, moderate bitterness. Balanced, clean, the malts are rich, the hops herbaceous. Excellent example.

355 ml can. Pours black with moderate tan head. Aromas of soy sauce, cocoa powders, roasted peppers and dusty roasted malts. Flavors of dull vanilla, paper, dry dark chocolate, some cinnamon, and roasted malts. The flavor seem flat and not well integrated, not following through on the aromas as expected. OK overall but just not pulling it’s weight for the ingredients.

Re-rate: poured from the tap. Black with small beige head. Earthy wood, slightly soured coffee, light nuts and chocolate. More pleasant than previous tasting and doesn’t have the green pepper note this time. An interestingly forest-y stout (like a forest hike was injected into a stout). Jan 31, 2022 ( 6/3/6/3/12=3.0): Poured from 650mL bottle (from Jonny, Weathered leftover). Dark brown with beige head. Green pepper and nuts on the aroma. Odd rye whiskey note, mild chocolate and roast, slightly soured, feel like this was oxidized. Disappointed.

Golden coloir, clean, bright. The aroma is gently piney, it's sweet, with a touch of biscuity malts. There's a good body, with moderate residual sweetness, gentle malts (biscuits, caramel, touch of toffee), and piney hops; robust bitterness, without excess; malts and hops are un great balance. Excellent semi-modern West Coast IPA.

Dark brown/near black. No head. The aroma is spicy - is that the rye whiskey? It's certainly unusual. On the palate, the base beer comes up thin. Some chocolate, bit fudgey. But the dominant character is something between rye whiskey, and leftover piloncillo. It's not the rich piloncillo character I want, mind you. I am not sure what role the orange is playing here. Well, Steel & Oak does most things well, so if their imperial stouts aren't heroic I don't really care.
