On tap at Red Truck, pours a fairly clear amber with a small white head. Nose is restrained, with notes of toasted bready malt and very light floral hops. Flavour is similarly restrained, with toasted bready malt dominating with a tinge of caramel. Pretty boring stuff, but clean and balanced. Not exciting.

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 4 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 4.5

On tap at Red Truck, pours a hazy dull blonde with a small white head. Nose brings out toasted crackery malt, soapy floral notes and a little diacetyl. Flavour is similar, bringing out a really bitter soapy floral hop character and diacetyl. Dry crisp finish. Infected and astringent in a bad way. Quite bad.

On tap at Red Truck, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Nose is very light, with toasted crackery malt upfront. Flavour is pretty bland, with toasted crackery malt and maybe some lightly sweet cereal notes. Pretty tasteless and boring, but clean enough. Another useless VCBW beer. C'mon Vancouver - you can do better than this.

Cask at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy amber color with a reddish hue, and compact head. The malt and hop aroma is mild, nice. The mouthfeel us very smooth, the flavor initially is British, but it’s also metallic, and the raspberry or the zest add a bitter vegetable element that is not very appreciated.
Just one more useless cask infusion.

Draught at the brewery
Dark yellow color. Aroma and flavor are mild, but loaded with vegetables (celery), light chemicals presence too; the flavor is mellow, a bit flowery and fruity, moderately sweet, very metallic.
It shows clear lack of experience in choosing the yeast and fermenting a high gravity beer.
Almost undrinkable mess, I couldn’t finish my 4oz glass.

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 6.5

Draught at the brewery
Blond color, quite pale, with almost no head. Interesting hoppy aroma, fruity, but also with a strong impression of summer fields, manure, yellow weed flowers, dandelion. The mouthfeel is very dry, quite weak; the malt flavor unfortunately has some paper character; it has the expected bitterness, but not the expected hop quality (fruits, hop resins).
Drinkable but too simple.

Draught at the brewery; 4.5% ABV
Blond color, almost no head. Dry lager with very light fruity esters. Nothing of the malt crispness of a Kölsch, no grassy hops, actually it may have a hint of American hops. Mellow final, slightly salty.
Very boring.

Draft - Sweet passion fruit and light citrus. Clear gold with a decent white head. Citrus, peach and a dry peel bitterness. Nice, but the bitterness is a bit overwhelming. UPDATE - Draft at brewery is much different, so seems to have variation. Not nearly as good as the last one I had.

Light amber, light caramel nose, caramelly not real exciting. Real basic sweet amber.

Cloudy and with a thin head. Aroma is a touch plasticy and with a touch fruity and a splash of orchard fruits. Sweet front, sticky, alcohol next then pear, subtle pineapples and a dash of peach. Not bad but stronger and sweeter than I prefer.
