Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Amber color; small creamy head. It has a mild aroma of caramel and maple syrup. There is a very good flavor of maple glazed nuts, with just a light residual sweetness, and quite strong bitterness; there are also some hop qualities, and roasted nuts in the final.
Really interesting.

The color is very dark amber, with small creamy head, not as dark as expected. Very light aroma of roasted malt. Dry mouthfeel; there is some flavor of roasted malts, coffee, roasted nuts; overall it has a roasty and dusty character; correct bitterness.
Not a real Porter, more a crossover with a Stout.

Hazy light amber color, with creamy head. The aroma is indistinct. The flavor is dryish, some cereals, husk, not very seducing. Correct bitterness.
Even a Weizen can be better, no need to search further.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a clear ruby red with a small white head. Aroma of scotch, sweet malt, and slight cough drop. Flavour of cough syrup / cough drop medicine and malt sweetness - a little cloying. No complexity here. Not good at all.

Black color, with beige creamy head. Good aroma of hops and roasted malt. The body is thin, but the mouthfeel smooth; dry as well; aggressive flavor of heavily roasted malt, with salty liquorice, and peppery hops; strong bitterness. Spicy and fiery.

2012-01-13, draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver, 6-5-7-4-14=36
Beautiful dark amber to brown color, with small creamy head. Mild aroma of caramel with light touch of grains. Correct body structure (Sticke, not Double Sticke), with quite good caramel and malt flavor, the cleanliness of German beers, a touch of grains; strong bitterness. Not vibrant, but good.
2012-01-12, draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, as Red Truck Sticke 300 Double Alt, 6-5-7-3-14=35
Dark amber red color, with creamy head. Light caramel aroma. Caramel flavor, a bit dusty, with light residual sweetness, bold bitterness, and alcohol warmth; light cereals in the final. Not as vibrant as a real Alt, but not bad.

Cask at the Alibi Room, Vancouver (twice)
8-4-7-4-15=38, hazy amber color. Fresh and resiny hop aroma, fruity. Smooth mouthfeel, with some sweetness; nice toffee flavor, with good fruity hops, bitter oranges, and a late sweat and resins from the hop; strong bitterness. Good.
8-4-8-5-16=41, beautiful golden color, with persistent frothy head. Beautiful aroma of candies and fruits (peaches, pineapple, mango...). Soft mouthfeel; good toffee flavor, with manure, cat piss, fruits, some sweetness; good bitterness level. Very good, messy but fresh.

As Sticke 300 at Alibi Room. Dark amber with a thin head. Rich caramel aroma with light toast. The taste is mostly caramel with some light earthiness and light dark sugars. Not actually alt-like, more like an oversized amber but with decent balance.
