Part of a flight at the brewery/taproom on Thursday June 18, 2015.Clear deep copper oxide color, teal head. Malty, dry, grainy taste. Grainy, dry, husky aftertaste. Fizzy mouthfeel, high bitterness. Malty, grainy taste.

Draught at the brewery
Beautiful, clean and bright light Amber color. The aroma is mild, some malt. The mouthfeel is soft and round, with enough residual sweetness; it has some malt flavor, a bit more nutty than most German beers, bready, and although it lacks a bit of depth, it’s quite good. It’s supported by a relatively strong bitterness, with no hop character though. Balanced.
Clean, very nice.

On tap at 33 Acres, pours a clear bronze / amber with a small white head. Nose brings out herbal notes, light spiciness, and toasted nuts - smells fairly authentic. Flavour is similar, with notes of herbal skunky notes, grass, cereal sweetness and toasted nuts. It's not my favourite style, but it's brewed very well. Solid attempt.

Draft - Light grains and caramel. Clear gold with a decent white. Light caramel, grains and a simple finish. Meh.

On tap at 33 Acres, pours a dark caramel brown with a small beige head. Nose brings subtle notes of dark dried fruits, some dry cocoa powder and bready notes. Flavour is similar, bringing out toffee, dark fruits and cocoa. Quite a robust profile with a chewy palate. Really well-balanced and bold all the fame. Great stuff.

Chestnut brown, big head. Sweet, toffeeish, rounded malts with subtle bitterness and good earthy character. Soft body, touch of alcohol late. Well done - not Bavarian level but well done.

Draft - Dark roast and bready cake like notes. Deep jet black with a rich beige head. Roast, toast and bready notes. Decent.

Draft - Apple juice. Hazy light yellow with a decent white head. Tart apple juice with some dryness. This just tastes like Apple juice that has sat too long.

Draft - Light toast and plum. Deep brown with a light brown head. Dark fruit and some light toasted malts. Long dark fruity, raisin finish.
