A n. German pilsner 5.5% Crystal clear gold, minimal white head. Quite an earthy & light malt aroma. The same rough carbonation, maybe a touch less sharp. The taste is biscuit, earthy, grassy & lightly herbal. Quite a classic pils with a big light malt body and a dry hoppy finish. A solid example of the style & much more representative than their California common.

A lighter copper than the IPA but bit by much, great beige head with fantastic staying power + great lacing. Banana bread, citrus, some pepper  & maybe nutmeg in the nose? This was a buck pricier than the others. A rounder mouthfeel & carbonation that mskesvforva smoother body which works with the style. The taste is balanced & matches the nose: sweet fruity banana bread, a light saison funk, pepper & citrus zest. While many of their beers tasted nice this one seems the best put together of the bunch.

Cloudy orange-blond color with small compact head. Delicate aroma, fresh, with some fruits, spices, also manure. Good body strength, with high carbonation; some malt flavor, strong spicy character (coriander and a bit of cloves), and strong orange peel; it has a light residual sweetness; correct bitterness, but with an impression of vegetables and chicory in the end; stronger spices and less sweetness than a typical American Saison (positive). Some of the hop qualities are present in the final. A bit too yeasty.
Yes, an American Saison, and I wouldn’t consider it to be the best target to choose.

On tap at 33 Acres, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Nose is very hoppy, bringing out lots of dry piney and citrus hops, along with Belgian yeast, light funk, and a lemon zest quality. Flavour certainly tastes like an American-hopped saison, with robust piney and citrus hops atop Belgian yeast, lemon zest and light funk. Totally not brewed to style, but this is pretty great nonetheless. I think I slightly preferred Of Merckx, but this is great too.

Deep blond color with small head. Delicate malt aroma. Good malt flavor, a bit chewy, almost sweet for a Pilsner, heavy, with a good mouthfeel; light grassy touch, although some Pilsners have more evident noble hops; the final is also a bit herbaceous, maybe something to eliminate.
Good malty one.

On tap at 33 Acres, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of grassy hops and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is quite authentic, with lots of grass, corn and crisp biscuity malt. There seems to be a bit of a cereal-like residual sweetness on the finish that could be better concealed. Still, quite drinkable. Decent pils.

Slightly hazy, earthy, mushroomy aroma and flavour. Medium, clean bitterness, some slightly doughy pale malts late, giving it more a Bavarian character than North German, but that’s splitting hairs. It’s a good, balanced pilsner.

Hazy, light tan, aroma is balanced yeast, biscuit and herbal hop. Fruity, peachy, anise, sweet, but there is a touch of herbal character towards the finish. Dryish character comes mostly from yeast and alcohol it seems. Ok saison.

Cloudy light brown. Sweet, banana candy, phenols are otherwise restrained, touch of toasty, biscuity malt but this comes across as a clean, sweet dunkelweizen, the rye not really coming through.
