On tap at 33 Acres, pours a hazy golden blonde with a small white head. Nose brings out loads of citrus upfront, with a touch of cracked black pepper, and Belgian farmhouse yeast. Flavour is quite unusual but really well-balanced, with lots of citrus and black pepper mixing with the rustic farmhouse notes. Loads of depth to this and highly drinkable despite the elevated ABV for the style. Really great.

On tap at 33 Acres, pours a clouy orangey brown with a small off-white head. Aroma and flavour are uniform, both bringing out dominating notes of banana, followed by clove, toasted nuts, and a touch of cocoa. Well-balanced, without any off-flavours. Very good.

Hazy light yellow with a big head. Aroma is a bit musty, taste malty, then tart then back to a malty/spicy finish with a shot of alcohol. Herbal character in there a bit as well.

Draught at the brewery
Cloudy golden color with compact head. The aroma is mild, but dominated by plastic, some yeast, lightly spicy and footy. Quite smooth mouthfeel, rather dry too; the yeast is fairly spicy, and a bit estery, but there is also an evident presence of vegetables, and the final has a metallic feeling; some cereals flavor as well; strong bitterness.
Chaotic. Not pleasant.
I can think of a few American Saison like this one, but not of any Belgian one. Merckx wouldn’t be happy.

Cloudy brown color with compact head. There is a strong aroma of banana and light aroma of rye. The mouthfeel is rather dry, and maybe a bit weak; the rye and the yeast create a nice feeling of banana bread; it’s a bit spicy and yeasty, with correct bitterness; a light peppery note; the bubblegum feeling is a spoiler, and it would probably be better with a less weak final.
Not bad overall. I hope the next batch will achieve more because it has potential.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out moderate roasted malt, some oats and lager yeast. Flavour is very well-balanced, with notes of oats, toasted malt, and a nice light bitterness. Very well-balanced, with the right amount of roasted and bitter qualities. Very good beer.

Amber with a slight haze and thick head. Aroma is a little crackery. The taste is similar, with a bit of caramel. A little on the bland side. Some delicate fruitiness but with a somewhat husky, carbonated keggy character this isn’t enough to pull it through.

Dark golden-amber, thin head. Aroma is sweet, earthy, breadcrusty, and the taste is similar. I like the malts but the alcohol might be more apparent than it should be at this level.
