Tap at CBM Koenji. Nice, subtle, light caramel, light hops light soapiness. My first beer from them and it's a pleasant surprise.

Bottle, thanks Davido. Can't get the matcha which is good. Starts sweet and end is slightly bitter with a bit of spice. Alright.

Tap at CBM Sendai. Phenolic nose, malty biscuity. Clear golden color. Very fruity flavor, with oranges, grapes. Sweet and not really good for drinking by the liter in that sense, but relatively clean. Suspect ale yeast. Peppery, bitter finish works.

Bottle. Nose is maybe tea, peaches, orange, bread. The green tea is light. Deep golden color, cloudy and lacy. Lemony flavor, some green tea, crisp and light but altogether a bit weird and vegetal.

Bottle. Nose of lots of cocoa, plus some miso and a bit of coffee. Huge cocoa flavor, light, soft, creamy. Approaching milk stout sweetness, so not really dry, but tasty.

Tap at Q-brick. Deep brown with orange. Low head going to lace. Spicy nose, cinnamon, orange, vanilla, toffee, cherry. Flavors of cola, spice, cinnamon, chocolate, ginger, vanilla. Cake-like. Interesting, with a great nose, but too much spice in the end, with a somewhat nasty finish of spicy astringency. Very reminiscent of Nest Celebration.

Aoi Brewing Hollyhock Christmas Ale,. This was a guest beer half-pint at Marca. It pours an opaque brown/red. The aroma is freshly baked bread and cinnamon. Med-full bodied this is a sweet cinnamon Bomb with a big dose of breadiness. A bit too much spicing but pretty good for what I am guessing is a first attempt at a Christmas beer.
