Light brown, beige head. Good carmel malt and hop nose. Well hopped for the style with lots of balancing malt

Light floral hop nose. Unripe hop flavor with a medium finish...didn''t care for it.

Very dark brown, but I couldn''t get too much foam working. Coffeeish, slightly nutty, almost meaty aroma (you could definitely make a good stew with this). Rich palate, good full body. Coffee, black bread, poppy seeds, woody hops. Dry, lingering finish. The Style Police in me says that this is a stout because porters are not supposed to be so roasty, but the beer itself is fine.
