Draft at BPP. Aroma has cared wood, moderate sweetness, low hops. The cared character is awesome. Favor has mild charred aspect, light astringency but a decent sweetness that kicks in. Avoids a lot of pitfalls for a BA barleywine and rather enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with medium frothy white leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong tropical fruit, dank, pine. Medium mouth, pine, dank, grapefruit, resin finish, very bitter, really good.

At Matt’s place. Notes of coffee and roasted malt and some dark fruits in the aroma. Taste is quite plain roasted malt with a touch of dark fruits and slight notes of coffee.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out notes of coffee, roast and bready malt. Flavour brings out a rather earthy coffee quality, some subtle dark fruitiness, and bready malt. Unusual for a coffee stout, as it's rather fruity. Good stuff.

Bottle - Cocoa and a touch of coffee. Coffee is jus not good enough. Dark brown with a light brown head. More sweet than bitter and a bit syrupy. I think a better coffee roast would have taken this much further.

Tasting at Matt’s
Black color with large brown head. The aroma is a bit roasty, dusty, sour. Roasty beer, dry and lean, with traces of liquorice, no good coffee notes to talk about, and way too much sourness from the roasted beans/malt.
Very average rendition.
