Turbid gold - musky nose, with some sweet peach flesh and funky fruit skin notes - flavor is moderately sweet up front, followed by some light savory character, grainy malt, more moderate funkiness - moderate acidity and mild funk in the finish - pretty okay - a little muddled/muddy.

Draft pour pint at the brewery. Rating from my notes. This was the closing act of a much anticipated Denver brewery tour. Had never really heard of these guys before, and like every other typical beer drinker, I started with their IPA. Pours a clear copper color with a patchy fizz head. High carb. Biting hop aroma and flavor. Lingering bitterness. Average IPA for me.

Pint at the brewery - pretty clean rendition with a rich, toasty malt character, caramel, light spicness, dark bread - there is a light huskiness on the back end, and some burnt sugar character, but otherwise pretty good.

Pint at the brewery - advertised as a Bohemian Pils - 6.2% abv (too strong, IMO) - clean and lacking major flaws, but also very sweet, with a sharp hop bitterness to it - floral hop character is nice, but overall it is hard to enjoy that much due to the high sweetness and sharp bitterness.

Turbid light gold - nose of lightly tropical Brett, lemon, wheat - flavor is incredibly dull and yeasty - touches of acidity, mild Brett funkiness - but mostly subdued and muddled - needs work.

Tap at the brewery - billed as an English ipa, but this seems all American to me - it’s got a fairly biscuity and earthy malt character, which is perhaps its English side - hop profile is very floral, fruity, and spicy - overall clean and balanced but assertive and bitter - another solid ipa from this brewery.

Tulip at the.brewery - hazy gold with a soapy lace - I like what they were going for here in that this iw not too heavy on the ester profile (no huge banana notes.like a lot of american tripels) - it’s a little sweet, but has a spicy and floral hop character and moderate earthy and peppery phenolics - mild.tropical esters - finish is a little rough and syrupy - has potential.

Tap at the brewery - clear gold - strongly citric nose with some clean malt sweetness underneath - flavor is clean, medium.sweet, somewhat crackery malt character - kind of oily mouthfeel - a lot of hop character without being that bitter, bit if still has a fairly nice, grassy and herbal bitterness - good pale ale, but not for six bucks a pint.

I was a little terrified when I saw this had cardamom in it - thankfully, it’s hardly noticeable - like most kettle sours, if has a one-dimensional tartness to it, but it ia dry, crisp, and refreshing - the addition of the fruit adds a moderate sweetness and some needed depth - grape skin, apricot flesh - medium tart finish - simple, but refreshing - kind of like a berliner weisse.
