Tap at Beer Fes Osaka 2015. Thin, estery nose. Cloudy amber color. Sweet and fruity, some caramel, touch of DMS, ale-like fruitiness. No thanks.

Tap at Beer Fes Osaka 2015. Cloudy gold. Malty, yeasty, sweet, maybe just a touch of DMS. Quite estery and fruity. Ok but a bit rough.

Tap at Kurashiki Beer Kura. A golden amber with a thick beige head. A bready caramel aroma and a fairly full body. The taste is malt about to germinate and a bready caramel with some herbal hops. A crisp enough beer for a brewery that has apparently been open 6 years but I’d never heard of. Boosted it from 2.4 to 3.2

On tap at GJBF Osaka 2015. Yoshii Kogen Munchen An orange-honey gold with a buttery rich honey aroma & maybe a bit of egg? The body is a touch watery. The taste is malty sweet honey, some diacetyl and a semi-dry finish with light bitterness. Odd soapy aftertaste. These guys were the weakest brewery I had at the fest.

On tap at GJBF Osaka 2015. Yoshii Kogen Pilsner First beer of the day at the GJBF2015 slightly cloudy gold with a yeasty nose that is almost Weizen like with light grain character - nice smelling but not to style. The taste is ok but again too yeasty/fruity/sweet for the style in my opinion.
