Süß malziger Antrunk, leichte Schokoladennoten. Etwas trocken, was aber der Süße entgegenwirkt. Geringe Kräuternoten, süffig. Langer, hefig schokoladiger Nachhall. 8/9/9/8/8/8

Bottled@PBF IX. Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is citrus, some yeast, mild spices as well as some mild sour wooden notes. Flavour is citrus, wheat, mild spices, yeast and a wee bit of funk to it.

Bottle@PBF IX. Hazy orange colour, small white head. Aroma is smoked wood, yeast, some caramel, mild herbs and yeast. Flavour is smoked wood, some bitterness, mild herbs as well as some toffee.

Bottle 1000ml. w. swing top. [ As Pax Bräu Oberelsbach Maibock ].ABV: 6.6%. Unclear medium orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fruity. Flavour is moderate sweet and moderate to light light heavy bitter with a long duration, fruity malt - hops, sweet malt, pale malt, dry, spicy - crispy hops. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140508]

Bottle 1000ml. w. swing top @ home. [ As Pax Bräu Smaragd Pilsner ].Clear medium yellow color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, grain, pale malt, moderate hoppy, grass, flowers, fruity hops. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, flowers, grass, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20141115]

Tastingglass at Fisch & Feines 2014, Bremen. Black in the glass, no head. taste is dark malty with mint and cacao. Dry to the end. Strange and hard stuff in my opinion.

Trübes dunkel orangegoldenes Bier mit einer ordentlicher beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr rauchig, Schinken, röstmalzig, fruchtig. Geschmack sehr malzig, rauchig, fruchtig bittter im Mittelteil, fruchtig und dezent rauchig im Abgang.
