Clear 750ml via Press online. Months in the fridge while I figured out what I wanted.

Pint glass on a slow Friday night.
Pale gold, weak fizz, jellied.
Sweet papaya nose. Strawberry vinegar.
Subtle sweet vinegar, strawberry, acidy apple flesh, not obvious Sidra.
Bite-y acid light, twinge of vinegar, approachable tartness, lingering tropical funk. Big energy tropical flavors.
Good stuff. So juicy, big & bold.

Great & very different.

At the January 2026 DC Brewver gathering. 750ml bottle. Poured a light hazy golden color without much of a head. Aroma was cherries, some stonefruit. Tart apples, with some very light cherry skin. Some pleasant tartness in the finish.

750ml bottle a lightly hazy peachy gold. Nose has stone fruits, white cherry and nectarines, apples but more ok the sweet side than green tart. Flavor leads with apples, light berries, some cherry pits. A little funk lurking. Just off dry, medium bodied.

(Bottle, 0.75 l - 6.5% ABV - batch 11/2021, from Alko, 20220226) The cider poured golden and cloudy. No head. Aroma had apple juice, tartness, vineousness and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied and dry with low carbonation. Flavours were tartness, apple juice, fruitiness and sourness. Aftertaste was sour and tart. A nice cider with aftertaste that lasted long.

Bottle from Astor I believe. 2016 blend. Almost two years in darkness, several months chilling in the back of the fridge, being avoided. Duvel glass @home. A bit jellied, but otherwise clear golden yellow. Expected Duvel bubbles. Smells like a huge package of bubblegum & marigolds, along with some sour pears & vinegary apple jam. More vinegar on the nose as it warms. Taste is puckery bittersweet apples, cranberries & bubblegum. Orange peels & spicy arugula. A mildly lingering apple vinegar finish. Lemon essence. Less funky & more spirited. I like this version of Basque country more these days vs the insane toss-up barnyard in a lot of bottles. Sharp & well carbonated. Not thick or thin, bracing acid, solid tartness, juicy, not parching, sulfites aren't super bad. On par ABV. Can keep drinking this throughout dinner. Good.

By the glass at Sidra in Kyoto. Cloudy pale gold color with no head. Acid, barnyard nose, with apples, lactic notes, and grass. Tangy, milky flavor, lightly sour, apples are there but not huge. Very lambic like. Soft, almost flat body. Tasty and interesting.
